Here is a project by the artist Miguel Luciano that we’ve been teasing you with for a few weeks now. Miguel wants a full-sized “toy” truck for an installation at a soon-to-open museum in Puerto Rico. It is in honor of a well-known resident who grew plantains on his farm and tooled around town in his 1950 2R Studebaker truck. Evidently, his farm and other properties that he owned became some of the most desirable and high priced land on the island. Still, he drove his Studebaker to all occasions! I think Sam Walton in the USA copied him, not the other way around!
